Punch.ev Highlights in Brief

The Punch.ev offers two battery pack options – 25 kWh with a range of 315 km, and 35 kWh with a range of 421 km. It features two e-Drive options, achieving a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 9.5 sec and a top speed of 140 km/h. The Punch.ev’s battery pack and motor are IP67 rated for protection, providing an 8-year or 1,60,000 km warranty.

IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has recently commenced direct flights between Mumbai and Ayodhya, starting from January 15, 2024. This move aims to enhance accessibility and facilitate smoother travel between India’s financial capital and the renowned temple town in Uttar Pradesh.

Connecting Major Cities to Ayodhya

IndiGo took the lead as the first airline to initiate flights from the newly inaugurated Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya on December 30, 2023. Following this, the airline has extended its regular commercial flights to connect Delhi and Ahmedabad to Ayodhya.

Vasco, January 23, 2024: In a proactive move aimed at enhancing passenger safety and comfort, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the conversion of o­ne rake of Train Nos. 12741/12742 Vasco Da Gama-Patna-Vasco Da Gama Weekly Express from conventional to Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) stock.

This conversion is scheduled to come into effect from January 24, 2024, for the train departing from Vasco-Da-Gama, and from January 27, 2024, for the train departing from Patna Junction.

PET Survey for Dharwad-Kolhapur New BG Railway Line Project

The Railway Board has approved a Preliminary Engineering and Traffic (PET) survey for the new broad-gauge railway line project between Belagavi (Km 79.70) and Kolhapur (Km 220.60) part of new Dharwad-Kolhapur new BG railway line.

The advertised value for this survey is 5502735.00, with a stipulated completion period of 6 months. The maximum design speed for the new line is set at 160 Kmph.

The PET survey has been initiated to thoroughly investigate the technical feasibility of the proposed new railway line project. The focus is on determining the most viable alignment by exploring various alternatives, including optimization of existing facilities. The assessment will be conducted using advanced photogrammetric techniques, utilizing remote sensing satellite imagery data and high-resolution drone imagery data.

Objectives/Scope of Work:

The primary objectives of the PET survey include:

  • Techno-Economical Alignment: Determine the most cost-effective alignment for the new railway line project.

  • Digital Model Generation: Generate Digital Terrain Model (DTM), Digital Surface Model (DSM), orthophoto, and topographical map.
  • Considerations: Take into account stability considerations, geological and hydrological factors, construction feasibility, accessibility, safety, maintainability, and environmental considerations.
  • Contractor Appointment: The railway intends to appoint a qualified Contractor to carry out the PET survey, ensuring a comprehensive and detailed examination of the proposed new line.

Beyond the Garbh Griha, the lighting design extends to illuminate other architectural elements such as pillars, arches, and carvings. In-ground lighting luminaires with precise beam angles and a minimalistic form factor were used. These products are designed to withstand wear and tear and high impact.

To highlight the beauty of intricate carvings on ceilings and walls, tailored-made lighting solutions were developed to seamlessly blend with the architecture. Additionally, bespoke designed step lights were used to illuminate the marble steps leading to the temple, enhancing the overall grandeur of the temple.

Focus on Collaboration for Indigenous Development

During the 8th Meeting of the Mission Steering Group (MSG) of the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), Minister Piyush Goyal stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between the government and industry. He emphasized the necessity to foster indigenous development of technical textiles products, aligning with the nation’s self-reliance goals.

Diverse Project Approvals

The approved projects comprise nine R&D initiatives, one machine development project, and one equipment development project. Notably, one of these projects concentrates on creating high-strength carbon fiber for strategic applications, aiming to make India self-reliant in the realm of Technical Textiles.

The sanctioned projects span various application areas of technical textiles, including 2 projects each in Protech, Meditech, and Mobiltech, 1 project in Buildtech, Smart Textiles, and Sustainable Textiles each.
