In a recent update by South Western Railway (SWR) , adjustments have been made to the scheduled transformation of Unreserved DEMU Express Special trains to MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) trains.
It had previously been announced that Train Nos. 06511/06512 Banaswadi-Tumakuru Unreserved DEMU Express Special and Train Nos. 06513/06514 Tumakuru-Shivamogga Town-Tumakuru Unreserved DEMU Express Special trains were to undergo conversion on January 15, 2024.
However, due to operational constraints, a revision in the conversion date has been necessitated. The new effective date for the transformation is now set for March 1, 2024.
