Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited announced an investment of ₹1,000 crore in Karnataka over the next five years during the 10th anniversary celebration of Grand Mercure Mysuru.
The company said the investment will support new hospitality projects and modernization of existing properties. The focus will remain on sustainable tourism and strengthening Mysuru’s position as a major travel destination.
Speaking in Mysuru, Managing Director Nirupa Shankar said the city has evolved from a weekend tourism destination into a business and heritage hub.
Grand Mercure Mysuru, launched in 2016, has become a leading luxury hotel in the city. The 146-room property is known for blending French hospitality with Karnataka’s royal heritage and has played a major role during Mysuru Dasara celebrations.
Director Vineet Verma said Mysuru helped the company build a strong hospitality model outside Bengaluru. He added that the company is now preparing for larger expansion across South India.
BHVL also unveiled its “Vision 2031” strategy, aiming to double its hotel room inventory by adding around 1,700 new rooms with an investment of ₹3,600 crore.
The company expects strong growth in Mysuru’s hospitality sector as tourism demand rises and more international travellers visit Karnataka.
