BEML Limited has launched India’s first indigenous 35-ton electric dump truck in Mysuru.
The truck was flagged off by Shantanu Roy. Officials from BEML and Medha attended the event.
This new electric dump truck India project aims to reduce pollution in mining. It produces zero tailpipe emissions.
The truck uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It offers high efficiency of up to 90%.
It also has regenerative braking. This helps save energy during operations.
The battery system ensures safety with temperature control. The truck can charge up to 80% in about 60 to 90 minutes.
BEML says the truck can cut energy costs by up to 70%. It also reduces operating costs.
This launch supports India’s green goals and sustainable mining plans.
