New Delhi, 16 JAN 2024 – In a significant development today, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Rao Inderjit Singh, introduced the MPLADS e-SAKSHI Mobile App.

The launching event took place at Khurshid Lal Bhawan, New Delhi, and was attended by various dignitaries, including the Chief Statistician of India-cum-Secretary, Additional Secretary, and other senior officers of the Ministry, along with senior officials of SBI and TCS.

Empowering MPs through MPLAD Scheme

The MPLAD Scheme, designed to empower Members of Parliament (MPs) to recommend developmental projects, has undergone a transformation with the introduction of a revised fund flow procedure.

The primary objective is to facilitate the recommendation of works that focus on creating lasting community assets based on locally perceived needs. The revised guidelines seek to expand the scope of the Scheme, enabling MPs to suggest developmental works in alignment with evolving community needs.
