Mysore: In a major boost to India’s railway modernisation and the government’s “Make in India” initiative, Frauscher Sensor Technology India has officially commenced construction of its global manufacturing hub in Mysore. This landmark development marks a significant expansion beyond its Austrian operations, positioning Mysore as a central hub for both domestic and international supply chains.

Spanning 1.55 lakh sq. ft., the advanced two-storey facility will focus on sensor and board production, research and development, and innovation-driven training. Construction is expected to be completed by October 2026, enabling Frauscher to scale up production and accelerate railway technology innovation in India.

The new hub will also house two specialised centres of excellence. The Frauscher Training Centre will provide railway professionals with hands-on learning and skill development, while the Frauscher Experience Centre will showcase cutting-edge solutions to customers and partners. Together, these centres aim to strengthen knowledge-sharing and foster industry collaboration.
