Bengaluru– For the upcoming Deepavali Festival, the South Western Railway (SWR) has introduced special trains to accommodate the rising demand from passengers. Two special trains will run between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru and Vijayapura, as well as between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru and Belagavi. Here’s all you need to know about these special services.
1. Train No. 06231 SMVT Bengaluru to Vijayapura Special Express
- Departure: November 10, 2023, at 7 PM from SMVT Bengaluru.
- Arrival: November 11, 2023, at 10:55 AM in Vijayapura.
Stoppages: Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, Chikjajur, Chitradurga, Rayadurg, Ballari Cant, Toranagallu, Hosapete, Munirabad, Koppal, Gadag, Badami, Bagalkot, and Almatti stations.

Return Journey, The train No. 06232 Vijayapura to SMVT Bengaluru Special Express
- Departure: November 14, 2023, at 5 PM from Vijayapura.
- Arrival: November 15, 2023, at 09:30 AM in SMVT Bengaluru.
Stoppages: Almatti, Bagalkot, Badami, Gadag, Koppal, Munirabad, Hosapete, Toranagallu, Ballari Cant, Rayadurg, Chitradurga, Chikjajur, Birur, Arsikere, and Tumakuru stations.

2. Train No. 06585 SMVT Bengaluru to Belagavi Special Express
- Departure: November 10, 2023, at 8 PM from SMVT Bengaluru.
- Arrival: November 11, 2023, at 8 AM in Belagavi.
Stoppages: Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, Davangere, Harihar, Haveri, SSS Hubballi, Dharwad, and Londa stations.

Return Journey, The train No. 06586 Belagavi to SMVT Bengaluru Special Express
- Departure: November 14, 2023, at 6:50 PM from Belagavi.
- Arrival: November 15, 2023, at 6 AM in SMVT Bengaluru.
Stoppages: Londa, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi, Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, and Tumakuru stations.

Both the Deepavali Special Trains will consist of sixteen coaches, including one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tier, eight sleeper class, two general second class, and two second-class luggage cum Brake-Vans/Disabled friendly compartments.
