Introduction
In a significant move aimed at improving passenger safety and comfort, the train No. 12510/12509 Guwahati – SMVT Bengaluru Express train has been upgraded with modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches.
These state-of-the-art coaches were flagged off by Smt. Queen Oja, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), at the Guwahati Railway Station on 29th October, 2023. This upgrade represents a positive step towards ensuring a more pleasant and secure train journey experience for passengers.

The New LHB Coaches
The newly converted LHB train, known as 12510 Guwahati – SMVT Bengaluru tri-weekly Express, will operate on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, departing from Guwahati at 06:15 hours.
The train’s route includes stops at Kamakhya, New Bongaigaon Jn, New Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri Jn, Malda Town, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Palasa, Vijayawada, Perambur, and Katpadi.
The train will consist of 23 LHB Design Coaches, which cater to various passenger classes, including AC 2 tier, AC 3 tier, AC 3 tier Economy, Sleeper Class, and Second Class.

Benefits of LHB Coaches
LHB coaches bring several advantages to the passengers. They are more spacious and comfortable, offering augmented passenger amenities for a hassle-free journey. From a safety perspective, these coaches are equipped with a hydraulic shock absorber and an improved suspension system, ensuring a smoother and more comfortable ride compared to conventional rakes. Each coach features “Modular Interiors” that incorporate lighting into the ceiling, convenient luggage racks, and wider windows.
Additionally, all LHB coaches are equipped with a Controlled Discharge Bathroom System and Bio-toilets, which are environmentally friendly, in contrast to the older ICF coaches.

No wonder HNIs leave India. Paying so much tax for NOTHING. In over 75 years of independence, if you can provide decent living environment and services to the general public, you DESERVE to lose the tax paying citizens.
Actually these long journey train which takes around 4 days to reach destinations and travels nearly 3500km in one side so the train interiors especially 3rd , 2nd, economyAc coaches need proper cleaning and more cleaning of bathrooms once tell our railmembers to use them during the journey they will die but not use them the on board staff need to be present and clean them at times to make them useful to travellers .we know that train crosses various states and variety of travellers use the trains so i request our dear travellers to use the coach and bathroom like you use in your own home with care and discliplined and clean manners do not throw garbage here and there like illetrate s in ac compartment . Do not spit here and there and choke the washbasiins by washing plate after eating it’s for washing hands and face not plate acting like foolish and illetrate
