In a significant development for Indian Railways, the authorities have announced the conversion of one rake of Train Nos. 12741/12742 Vasco Da Gama-Patna-Vasco Da Gama Weekly Express from a conventional rake to the modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) stock. This transformation is scheduled to take place on the 15th of November 2023, departing from Vasco Da Gama, and on the 18th of November 2023, from Patna Junction.

The conversion will see an addition of AC-First Class coaches, an increase in AC-Three tier coaches, and the inclusion of AC-Three tier Economy coaches, providing passengers with a broader range of travel options.
