In what could be disappointing news for passengers travelling between Mysuru and Bengaluru, the Railways has revised the schedule of two popular trains between Mysuru and Bengaluru, effective from October 1, 2023. These trains are the 17326 Mysuru-Belagavi Vishwamanava daily express and the Mysuru-Sainagar Shirdi weekly express.
Updated Schedule
According to the updated schedule on the IRCTC booking website as on 27 August, the 17326 Mysuru-Belagavi Vishwamanava daily express will depart from Mysuru Junction at 05:40 AM from October 1, 2023, instead of the current departure time of 05:50 AM.
The 16217 Mysuru-Sainagar Shirdi weekly express is scheduled to depart from Mysuru Junction at 05:20 AM from October 1, 2023. This is instead of its current departure time of 05:30 AM.
No Relief from Recent Enhancements
The railways have recently implemented several improvements. These include the development of the Belagula railway station, which now boasts two additional stabling lines. Furthermore, the Ashokapuram Railway station is scheduled to inaugurate in mid-September, featuring two additional platforms and one stabling line.However, these enhancements seems to be not provided relief to the passengers.

Increased Journey Hours for two Mysuru Bengaluru Trains
Currently, the 17326 Mysuru-Belagavi Vishwamanava daily express and 16217 Mysuru-Sainagar Shirdi weekly express cover the distance of 139 kilometers between Mysuru and Bengaluru in 2 hours and 50 minutes and 2 hours and 30 minutes, respectively.
With the increase in journey duration, the 17326 Mysuru-Belagavi Vishwamanava daily express will now take 3 hours. And the 16217 Mysuru-Sainagar Shirdi weekly express will take 2 hours and 40 minutes to cover the same 139 kilometers, starting from October 1, 2023.
