Mangaluru Udhna Deepavalli Special Trains

Railways to run special trains to clear extra rush during Deepavalli Festival

In a positive development for travelers, Railways has announced special Mangaluru Udhna trains to accommodate the extra rush of travelers during the upcoming Deepavalli festival in 2023.

The details of these special train services are as follows:

Train No. 09057 – Udhna Mangaluru bi-weekly special train

  • This bi-weekly special train on special fare will depart from Udhna Junction at 19:45 hrs on Fridays and Sundays.
  • The service dates for this train are the 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th, 26th of November, and the 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th, and 31st of December 2023.
  • The train is scheduled to arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 19:10 hrs on the following day.

Train No. 09058 – Mangaluru Udhna bi-weekly special train

  • This bi-weekly special train on special fare will leave Mangaluru Junction at 21:10 hrs on Saturdays and Mondays.
  • The service dates for this train are the 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, 25th, 27th of November, 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, 30th of December 2023, and the 1st of January 2024.
  • The train is expected to reach Udhna Junction at 21:30 hrs on the following day.

Halt Stations

Both trains will make stops at various stations along the route, including Valsad, Vapi, Palghar, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Junction, Canacona, Karwar, Ankola, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki, and Surathkal.

Coach Composition

The special Mangaluru Udhna trains will consist of a total of 22 coaches, including

  • One 2 Tier AC coach,
  • Three 3 Tier AC coaches,
  • Twelve Sleeper class coaches,
  • Four General class coaches, and
  • Two SLR (Seating cum Luggage Rake) coaches.
