As the festive season of Deepavali approaches, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of special trains to cater to the increased demand for travel.
These special trains will run on the Tambaram – Nagercoil – Mangaluru Junction – Tambaram route, offering a convenient and efficient way for passengers to reach their destinations during this joyous time.

Train No. 06061: Tambaram – Nagercoil Superfast Festival Special Fare Special
The first special train, numbered 06061, will depart from Tambaram at 19.30 hrs on the 10th, 17th, and 24th of November, 2023, all of which fall on Fridays. It will arrive at Nagercoil at 07.10 hrs the following day, providing a total of three services.
The composition of this special train includes 1 AC Two Tier Coach, 6 AC Three Tier Coaches, 9 Sleeper Class Coaches, 2 General Second Class Coaches, and 2 Second Class Coaches, designed to be friendly for Divyangjan passengers.

Train No. 06062: Nagercoil – Mangaluru Junction Festival Special Fare Special
The second special train, numbered 06062, will set off from Nagercoil at 14.45 hrs on the 11th, 18th, and 25th of November, 2023, which are all Saturdays. It will reach Mangaluru Junction at 05.15 hrs the following day, offering a total of three services.
The coach composition for this special train mirrors that of the first, featuring 1 AC Two Tier Coach, 6 AC Three Tier Coaches, 9 Sleeper Class Coaches, 2 General Second Class Coaches, and 2 Second Class Coaches suitable for Divyangjan passengers.

The third special train, numbered 06063, will initiate its journey from Mangaluru Junction at 10.00 hrs on the 12th, 19th, and 26th of November, 2023, all of which are Sundays. It will arrive at Tambaram at 05.10 hrs the following day, offering a total of three services.
Just like the previous two special trains, this one is equipped with 1 AC Two Tier Coach, 6 AC Three Tier Coaches, 9 Sleeper Class Coaches, 2 General Second Class Coaches, and 2 Second Class Coaches designed to be accessible and friendly for Divyangjan passengers.
