New Yesvantpur Bidar Weekly Express Train Introduced

South Western Railway Announces the Introduction of Train No. 16577/16578 Yesvantpur–Bidar-Yesvantpur Weekly Express

Bengaluru- The South Western Railway (SWR) has a good news for train travelers as they announce the introduction of a new weekly express train between Yesvantpur and Bidar. The Inaugural special train, 07020 Bidar Yesvantpur Inaugural Special Express, will commence its journey from Bidar to Yesvantpur.

Inaugural Special Train Details

The Inaugural Special Train No. 07020 Bidar-Yesvantpur Inaugural Special (one-way), will depart from Bidar on October 29, 2023, at 4:00 PM. It is expected to arrive at Yesvantpur at 07:30 AM the following day.

Route and Timings

During its journey, this special train will make several stops. Some of the significant stops include Humnabad, Kamalapur, Kalaburagi, Shahabad, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Hindupur, Gauribidanur, and Yelahanka.

Coach Composition

The inaugural special train will consist of a total of 16 coaches, including 1 AC Two Tier Coach, 2 AC Three Tier Coaches, 7 Sleeper Class Coaches, 4 General Second Class Coaches, 1 second class luggage cum brake van with a disabled-friendly compartment, and 1 luggage cum brake van with a generator.

Regular Service to Begin

Following the arrival of Inaugural Special Train No. 07020 Bidar-Yesvantpur Weekly Express at Yesvantpur, Train No. 16577 Yesvantpur-Bidar Weekly Express will commence regular service on November 4, 2023, departing from Yesvantpur.

Timings and Stoppages for Regular Service

Train No. 16578 Bidar-Yesvantpur Weekly Express will depart from Bidar at 02:40 PM and reach Yesvantpur at 04:00 AM on the following day. Stops along the route include Humnabad, Kamalapur, Kalaburagi, Shahabad, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Hindupur, Gauribidanur, and Yelahanka.

Meanwhile, Train No. 16577 Yesvantpur-Bidar Weekly Express will leave Yesvantpur at 11:15 PM, arriving at Bidar at 01:30 PM the next day. Stops on this route include Yelahanka, Gauribidanur, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Mantralayam, Raichur, Yadgir, Wadi, Shahabad, Kalaburagi, Kamalapur, and Humnabad.

Coach Composition for Regular Service

The regular service trains will also have a composition of 

  • 1 AC Two Tier Coach, 
  • 2 AC Three Tier Coaches, 
  • 7 Sleeper Class Coaches, 
  • 4 General Second Class Coaches, 
  • 1 second class luggage cum brake van with a disabled-friendly compartment, and
  • 1 luggage cum brake van with a generator.

This new addition to the South Western Railway’s services is expected to enhance connectivity between Yesvantpur and Bidar, offering passengers a convenient and comfortable travel option.
