A brief about Bidar

Bidar was once the capital of the erstwhile Bahamani Kingdom (1347-1526) in the medieval period. The Bahamani rulers’ glory is reflected in a number of historical monuments dating back to the 15th century that can be found here. Apart from history, the cool and refreshing environment of Bidar attracts travelers.

During Veerabhadreshwara Jatra, which is a local fair, thousands of devotees throng to Humnabad. They hold this annual fair for seven days during January-February.
