Chennai Mysuru Shatabdi to run on Wednesdays from December 20

Starting from December 20, 2023, the Chennai Mysuru Shatabdi Express will be available for passengers every Wednesday. This change aims to provide better service to those traveling between Chennai and Mysuru.

Currently, the 12007/08 Chennai Mysuru Shatabdi Express and 20608/07 Chennai Mysuru Vande Bharat Express do not operate on Wednesdays, which has caused inconvenience to many passengers. To address this issue, the railways have decided to modify the schedule of Shatabdi Express.

Passengers had previously suggested that the railways should consider offering top end services on all days of the week, instead of not running both the Chennai Mysuru Vande Bharat and Chennai Mysuru Shatabdi Express trains on Wednesdays.

Responding to this feedback, the railways have taken the step to change the operating days of Shatabdi train to ensure daily service of premium train are made available to public between the two cities. From 20th december Shatabdi will be having services of 6 days in week except Thursdays and Vande Bharat Express services of 6 days in a week except Wednesdays.

This alteration will allow passengers to enjoy the top end train services between Chennai and Mysuru all through the week, starting from December 20, 2023.
