Operations of Mysuru Varanasi Express and SSS Hubballi Banaras Express to be affected due to the Varanasi Yard remodelling to enhance the railway infrastructure.
The Indian Railways is currently carrying out remodelling work at the Varanasi Yard, a project that is scheduled to last for 45 days, commencing on September 1st and concluding on October 15th, 2023. This project falls within the jurisdiction of the Lucknow Division of the Northern Railway.
As a result of this ongoing project, both the Northern Railway and the East Central Railway have issued notifications detailing changes to the following train services –
Cancellation of Mysuru Varanasi Bi-Weekly Express
Train No. 22687 Mysuru Varanasi Bi-weekly Superfast Express, scheduled for journeys commencing on 12.09.23, 14.09.23, 19.09.23, 21.09.23, 26.09.23, 28.09.23, 03.10.23, 05.10.23, 10.10.23, and 12.10.23, will be cancelled.
Train No. 22688 Varanasi Mysuru Bi-weekly Superfast Express, scheduled for journeys commencing on 14.09.23, 16.09.23, 21.09.23, 23.09.23, 28.09.23, 30.09.23, 05.10.23, 07.10.23, 12.10.23, and 14.10.23, will be cancelled.

Diversion with change in Destination for Hubballi Banaras Weekly Express
Train No. 17323 Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Hubballi- Banaras Weekly Express, departing from SSS Hubballi on 22.09.23, 29.09.23, 06.10.23 & 13.10.23, will be diverted with a change in its route. It will skip its scheduled stoppage at Varanasi and will terminate at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction instead of Banaras.
Train No. 17324 Banaras – Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Weekly Express, departing from Banaras on 24.09.23, 01.10.23, 08.10.23 & 15.10.23, will also be diverted with a change in its route. It will skip its scheduled stoppage at Varanasi and will originate from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction instead of Banaras.
