In anticipation of the holiday rush during Christmas and New Year, Southern Railway has announced Tambaram-Mangaluru Central special train service.
This service is set to operate on two specific dates – 23rd and 30th December 2023, departing from Tambaram, and 25th December 2023 and 1st January 2024, departing from Mangaluru Central.

Tambaram-Mangaluru Central Special Fare Specials:
- Departure from Tambaram: Train No. 06129 Tambaram – Mangaluru Central Special Fare Special will depart from Tambaram at 23.20 hrs on 23rd and 30th December 2023 (Saturdays) and arrive at Mangaluru Central at 18.15 hrs the next day (2 Services).
- Return Journey: Train No. 06130 Mangaluru Central – Tambaram Special Fare Special will depart from Mangaluru Central at 09.30 hrs on 25th December 2023 and 01st January 2024 (Mondays) and reach Tambaram at 02.30 hrs the next day (2 Services).

Coach Composition:
The Tambaram-Mangaluru Central special train will have a well-arranged composition to accommodate various travel preferences, including:
- 1 AC Two-Tier Coach
- 1 AC Three-Tier Coach
- 1 AC Three-Tier Economy Coach
- 10 Sleeper Class Coaches
- 5 General Second Class Coaches
- 1 Second Class Coach (Divyangjan Friendly)
