Reinstating the “Nandi Express” name to the present 12609/10 Mysuru-Chennai Intercity Express

The Nandi Express was a prominent train that was operated by Indian Railways during the meter gauge era between Mysuru and Bengaluru.

After the railway track between Mysuru and Bengaluru was converted to broad gauge, the train was not reintroduced.

The discontinuation of the train “Nandi Express” has left many disheartened, and there is a yearning for a connection to the glorious past of our railway heritage through the train by name “Nandi Express”.
