Nagpur Airport Upgradation: PM Modi Launches Major Project to Boost Air Travel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation for the upgradation and modernization of Nagpur’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport.

This major project is led by GMR Airports Limited (GAL). It aims to transform the airport into a world-class aviation hub. This supports India’s growing aviation sector.

GMR will upgrade facilities to handle up to 30 million passengers annually. It will also boost cargo capacity to 20,000 metric tons. This positions Nagpur as a key center for both passengers and logistics in Central India. This development is aligned with India’s vision to expand its aviation infrastructure.
