Britannia and Bel Group have deepened their partnership with the opening of a new cheese factory in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra. This state-of-the-art facility will produce Britannia The Laughing Cow cheese, meeting the growing demand for high-quality dairy products in India.
The factory will produce around 10,000 tons of cheese annually. It marks a significant investment of ₹220 crore by the joint venture. The project also benefits over 3,000 local farmers through a milk procurement program, sourcing 100% cow’s milk from nearby areas.
This initiative aims to support local agriculture, provide job opportunities, and create nutritious cheese products tailored to Indian consumers.
