BCPL Railway Infra Wins Rs. 64.388 crore Contract for Railway Electrification Project in North East India

October 8, 2024: BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has secured a contract worth Rs. 64.388 crore for electrification work on a new railway line section between Araria and Thakurganj in North-East India.

This project is managed by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. It involves the design, supply, and installation of electrification systems. These systems include Overhead Electrification (OHE), Traction Substation (TSS), and SCADA systems.

Chairman Mr. Aparesh Nandi expressed optimism about the company’s future, emphasizing BCPL’s role in improving railway infrastructure, particularly in the North East. He highlighted the project’s strategic importance in enhancing connectivity in the region.

This area is known as the Chicken’s Neck and links the northeastern states with the rest of India. BCPL is confident about future opportunities in the railway sector across the country.
