Ministry of Defence Signs Rs 329.87 Crore Contract with BEML Ltd for Military Equipment

The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, took a significant step on January 04, 2024, by sealing a contract with BEML Ltd at Delhi.

This contract, valued at Rs 329.87 crore, focuses on procuring 56 Mechanical Minefield Marking Equipment (MMME) Mark-II under the Buy (Indian-IDDM) category. The aim is to bolster Defence capabilities and ensure the safety of military personnel in border areas.

Strengthening National Defense Infrastructure

BEML Ltd, a major Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing of MMME. Aligned with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, this move not only fortifies the national defense infrastructure but also fosters domestic manufacturing and technological self-sufficiency.
