The extension to Hosapete, acting as the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hampi, adds a touch of enchantment. Travelers from Mumbai and Pune can now effortlessly explore the cultural richness of these historic sites. As they no longer need to make multiple changes or transfers to reach Hampi.

Hosapete serves as the nearest railway station to the renowned Hampi ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These ruins are remnants of the ancient Vijayanagara Empire and hold significant historical and architectural value.

Tourism is a major contributor to the local economy in Hospet and the surrounding areas. With improved connectivity through this train extension, there’s potential for increased tourism-related business activities, leading to economic growth and employment opportunities for the local population.
