Bengaluru- In a move to accommodate the increased number of passengers during the upcoming Deepavali and Chhath Festivals, the South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to operate two special trains running between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru and Bhagat-Ki-Kothi stations. These trains will make a total of three round trips to meet the festive travel demand.
Train Routes and Schedule
- SMVT Bengaluru-Bhagat-Ki-Kothi-SMVT Bengaluru Special Express
- This special express train, numbered 06217/06218, will follow a route via Ballari Cantt and Hubballi.
- Departing from SMVT Bengaluru at 16:30 hrs on 9th, 16th, and 23rd of November 2023 (Thursdays), it will arrive at Bhagat Ki Kothi at 11:00 hrs on the third day (Saturdays).
- On its return journey, Train No. 06218 will leave Bhagat Ki Kothi at 06:30 hrs on 12th, 19th, and 26th of November 2023 (Sundays), reaching SMVT Bengaluru at 02:30 hrs on the third day (Tuesdays).
- SMVT Bengaluru-Bhagat-Ki-Kothi-SMVT Bengaluru Special Express via Davangere
- The second special express, numbered 06219/06220, will take a route via Davangere and Hubballi.
- Departing from SMVT Bengaluru at 16:30 hrs on 11th, 18th, and 25th of November 2023 (Saturdays), it will reach Bhagat Ki Kothi at 11:50 hrs on the third day (Mondays).
- On its return journey, Train No. 06220 will leave Bhagat Ki Kothi at 23:00 hrs on 13th, 20th, and 27th of November 2023 (Mondays), arriving at SMVT Bengaluru at 14:45 hrs on the third day (Wednesdays).

Stops Along the Way
Both special trains will make stoppages at various selected stations listed below in both directions, including Tumakuru, Arsikere, Kadur, Chikjajur, Chitradurga, Rayadurga, Ballari Cantt., Tornagallu, Hosapete, Koppal, Gadag, SSS Hubballi, Dharwad, Londa, Belagavi, Ghatprabha, Miraj, Satara, Pune, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Jawai Bandh, Falna, Marwar, Pali Marwar, and Luni.

- SMVT Bengaluru-Bhagat-Ki-Kothi-SMVT Bengaluru Special Express via Davangere
- 4-AC Two Tier Coaches
- 14-AC Three Tier Economy Coaches
- 2-Generator car cum Brake Van coaches
