Terminal Shift for Essential Work
The 16511/16512 Bengaluru-Kannur Express, will temporarily shift its terminal from KSR Bengaluru to Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru (SMVT Bengaluru). This change is due to essential improvement work at Yesvantpur Yard. It will be in effect from November 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The change covers a period of 151 days.
New Departure and Arrival Points
During this 151-day period, the Bengaluru-Kannur Express will start its journey from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru instead of KSR Bengaluru. The train will still pass through Yesvantpur, but the starting and ending point will be SMVT Bengaluru.
Updated Train Timings
For passengers traveling on Train No. 16511, the departure from SMVT Bengaluru will be at 20:00 hours. The train will arrive at Yesvantpur at 21:25 hours. It will then depart at 21:45 hours.
On the return trip, Train No. 16512 will depart from Kannur at 17:05 hours. It will reach Yesvantpur at 06:10 hours and depart at 06:30 hours. Finally, it will arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 07:45 hours.
Important Notice for Passengers
Passengers are advised to be aware of these temporary changes and plan their journeys accordingly during the specified period. The SWR is making these adjustments to ensure smoother operations during the improvement work at Yesvantpur Yard.
