Ltd. as a qualified vendor for the production and supply of steel sheets and plates. This accreditation follows a rigorous quality audit by BrahMos and confirms Jindal Stainless’s Hisar plant in Haryana as a supplier for materials critical to the manufacturing of cruise missiles.

The accreditation highlights Jindal Stainless’s commitment to excellence and innovation in producing high-quality materials essential for national security. The Hisar facility will now manufacture and supply customized stainless steel and specialty low-alloy steel sheets and plates tailored to meet the technical specifications required by BrahMos Aerospace.
Previous Contributions to India’s Defence
Jindal Stainless has a strong track record of supplying materials for key national defence projects. The company has been involved in significant contributions to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This includes supplying materials for India’s lunar mission Chandrayaan, PSLV, GSLV Mk3, nuclear submarine missile systems, missile canisters for various missile programs, and exhaust units in rockets.
Among its recent achievements, Jindal Stainless developed and supplied 3 mm special alloy steel sheets for the Supersonic Missile-Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) system, enhancing the Indian Navy’s anti-submarine warfare capabilities. These specialized sheets, manufactured at the Hisar facility in a record turnaround time, provide high thermal stability and high-pressure resistance during flight.
