Warsaw | Mumbai, September 20, 2024: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has further expanded its presence in Poland by launching a new global delivery centre in Warsaw. This strategic move will enable TCS to tap into Poland’s growing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) talent pool to provide hyper-connected services to its global clientele.
The new centre, located in the heart of Warsaw, aims to double TCS’ workforce in the region to over 1,200 employees within the next year. By accessing the skilled Polish talent pool, TCS will support its customers with expertise in niche technologies, cognitive business processes, and domain-specific services. This expansion is part of TCS’ broader European delivery network, which ensures customers receive seamless, near-shore services tailored to their unique cultural, compliance, language, and technological requirements.
The centre was inaugurated by the Indian Ambassador to Poland, Nagma Mallick, alongside TCS’ Head of Europe, Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, and the company’s General Manager for Eastern Europe, Prabal Datta. Ambassador Mallick praised the development, calling it a “milestone event” and highlighting how it strengthens the economic ties between India and Poland, further solidifying Poland as a key location for India’s expanding IT influence.
TCS’ European Investment and Strategic Focus
TCS’ expansion in Poland is part of its long-term commitment to enhancing its European delivery capabilities. The company has been actively investing in the region’s IT infrastructure to meet the growing demand for digital skills and business innovation. Recent expansions include the opening of an Aviation Digital Centre in Lisbon in partnership with Portugal’s national airline TAP, as well as the launch of an AI Centre of Excellence in Paris and a Pace Studio in Stockholm.
TCS’ Commitment to Poland and Europe
TCS first established its presence in Poland in 2006, and since then, the company has continually expanded its operations in the country. This latest development reinforces TCS’ commitment to the European market, where it has been present for over 45 years. With this new global delivery centre, TCS aims to strengthen its service offerings and support for its growing portfolio of clients across Europe and beyond.
