In a groundbreaking move, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh unveiled the “Aarogya-Doctors on Wheels,” an Artificial Intelligence (AI) supported Telemedicine Mobile Clinic. The initiative aims to bring advanced healthcare to the distant hilly terrains of Ramnagar in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir.

AI Revolutionizing Healthcare in Remote Regions

The upgraded Tele Clinic utilizes Artificial Intelligence to bridge the healthcare gap in areas where medical facilities are scarce or insufficient. Dr Singh emphasized the importance of this AI-driven solution, catering to regions often overlooked in the healthcare landscape.

Aarogya: Breaking Language Barriers

Dr Singh explained that “Aarogya” operates on a unique methodology, allowing patients to describe their ailments in their native language. The AI doctor comprehends the language and responds accordingly, breaking down language barriers in healthcare delivery.

Seamless Connection to Super Specialists

After the initial interaction, patients are seamlessly connected to leading super specialists across the country. This telemedicine hospital has established partnerships with prominent hospitals, ensuring patients receive comprehensive consultations. Within a short timeframe of 40 to 50 minutes, patients receive a prescription, all provided free of cost.

Prime Minister’s Vision for Remote Healthcare

Dr Singh highlighted Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s commitment to extending healthcare services to the remotest parts of the country, leveraging cutting-edge technology. The “Aarogya-Doctors on Wheels” initiative aligns with this vision, bringing specialized medical care to the doorsteps of those in need.

Phases of Implementation

Dr Jitendra Singh shared the successful completion of the first three phases in Gandoh, Zero Line villages along the International Border, and the upper reaches of Bilawar. The upcoming fourth phase is scheduled for Dudu Basantgarh in the upper reaches of Ramnagar block, Udhampur.

An Urgent Appeal to the Local Community

Dr Jitendra Singh urged local residents to make use of this state-of-the-art healthcare facility. He emphasized that the latest super specialty hospital ensures doctors come directly to their doorsteps, marking a significant stride in healthcare accessibility for remote populations.
