In a significant development, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Iranna Kadadi recently met Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss the extension of Mumbai Hosapete Express to Ballari.
This proposal has gained strong backing from key stakeholders, including the President of the Ballari District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (R), who has emphasised the potential benefits of such an extension.
The request for extending the Mumbai Hosapete Express to Ballari stems from the fact that the distance between Hosapete and Ballari is a mere 65 kilometres. This relatively short distance makes it a highly feasible and practical extension. By doing so, it will greatly enhance travel connectivity and boost trade in the region.
The extension would not only benefit passengers but also open up new opportunities for business and tourism. Additionally, the extension will help in light weight parcel/cargo transportation from Bellary to Mumbai.
