Railways to extend train no 17301/02 Mysuru Dharwad express up to Belagavi
In response to the request of public representatives from the Belagavi region, the Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce Mysuru Belagavi Express by approving the proposal of SWR to extend the Train No. 17301/02, the Mysuru Dharwad Daily Express up to Belagavi station.
The Daily Express train service will operate between Mysuru and Belagavi stations, commencing from September 26, 2023, from both ends.
The Train No. 17301, departing from Mysuru on September 26, 2023 (Tuesday), will run up to Belagavi Railway Station.
The Train No. 17302, departing from Belagavi on September 26, 2023, will run up to Mysuru Jn.

Force behind Extension
Recently, Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha Shri Iranna Kadadi disclosed the approval of the extension of the Mysuru-Dharwad daily Express up to Belagavi via a tweet.
The two districts, Mysuru and Belagavi, are the most populated districts in Karnataka. Travel options between Mysuru and Belagavi have been very limited, with only KSRTC operating direct buses. Therefore, the extension of daily train service to Belagavi will greatly benefit the public of both the districts.
In accordance with this, the South Western Railway has officially announced the extension of the train service up to Belagavi through press release no. 261, dated September 19, 2023.
