In an effort to accommodate the growing number of passengers and to provide convenient travel options, the Central Railway has announced the operation of 114 daily special train services between Chatrapathi Shahumaharaj Terminus Kolhapur and Pune.
These special trains will run for a limited period, aiming to ease the passenger rush during this period.

Chatrapathi Shahumaharaj Terminus Kolhapur-Pune Daily Special Trains
The Central Railway has scheduled 114 special train services that will connect Chatrapathi Shahumaharaj Terminus Kolhapur to Pune. Here are the details for these special trains:
Train 01024 – Chatrapathi Shahumaharaj Terminus Kolhapur to Pune
- Departure Time: 23.30 hrs
- Effective Dates: From 5.11.2023 to 31.12.2023 (57 Trips)
- Arrival Time: 07.45 hrs the next day
Train 01023 – Pune to Chatrapathi Shahumaharaj Terminus Kolhapur
- Departure Time: 21.45 hrs
- Effective Dates: From 6.11.2023 to 1.1.2024 (57 Trips)
- Arrival Time: 05.40 hrs the next day

Halts
These special trains will make stops at various stations to accommodate passengers along the way. The halts include Kolhapur, Valivade, Rukadi, Hatkanagale, Jayasingpur, Miraj Jn, Sangli, Bhilavadi, Kirloskarvadi, Takari, Karad, Masur, Targaon, Rahimatpur, Koregaon, Satara, Wathar, Lonand, Nira, Jejuri, and Sasvad Road, Pune.
Composition
The special trains will consist of a total of 16 ICF coaches, including:
- One AC 2-Tier
- Four AC-3 Tier
- Seven Sleeper Class
- Four General Second Class
- Two luggage cum guard’s brake vans

Passengers who wish to book their tickets for these special trains (Train 01024 and Train 01023) can do so starting from 29.10.2023. Reservations can be made at all computerized reservation centers or online through the official website www.irctc.co.in.
