Indian Railways has initiated the process of Construction of the New Broad Gauge Line Between Kushtagi (Excl.) and Jumlapur Road (Incl.) Including Signalling, Telecommunication & Electrical Works on EPC Mode. This new line is a part of the 257 KM Gadag – Wadi New Railway line Project.
The request for proposal includes the construction of the new BG Railway Gauge Line Including Signalling, Telecommunication & Electrical Works between Kushtagi (Excl.) to Jumlapur Road (incl) Stations.

New Railway Line Features
- Gudadur Crossing Station at CL Klm 66/350 with Station Building, 2 no’s High-Level Platform each of 570 meters, 1 Foot Over Bridge with Ramp
- Jumlapur Road Crossing Station at CL Klm 74/725 with Station Building, 2 no’s High-Level Platform each of 570 meters,1 Foot Over Bridge with Ramp
- 6 Major Bridges
- 25 Minor Bridges/Culverts
- 2 Road Over Bridges
- 14 Road Under Bridges (RUB) and Height Subways (LHS)
- 2 Railway Level Crossing
The project starts at Kushtagi (excluding) and ends at Jumlapur Road (including) for a length of 18.900 Km with two block sections divided at Gudadur.
This new railway line will provide an alternate short-distance route between Hubballi and Kalaburagi/Bidar/Hyderabad.
