In a significant development, the Ministry of Railways has given its approval for a new Yesvantpur Bidar weekly Express train, passing through various key stations, including Kalaburagi, Kamalapur, Humnabad and others.
This weekly train, Yesvantpur Bidar Express, is set to provide an important railway link for the people of these regions.
MP Bidar, Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, shared the exciting news on Twitter. He tweeted about the railway’s notification to introduce the Yesvantpur Bidar weekly express train.

Approved Route
The Ministry of Railways, through its order CC 277/2023 dated October 16th, 2023, has greenlit the proposal put forward by South Western Railways (SWR) to introduce Train No. 16577/78 Yesvantpur Bidar Express via Kalaburagi, Yadgir and Raichuru.
This once-a-week train service is expected to help the connectivity in the region.

Proposed Schedule
The Yesvantpur Bidar Express will commence its journey from Yesvantpur every Saturday at 23:15 and is scheduled to reach its final destination, Bidar, at 13:30 the following day.
On the return journey, Train 16578, the Bidar Yesvantpur Express, is scheduled to depart from Bidar at 14:30 every Sunday, with an scheduled arrival at Yesvantpur at 04:00 the next day.
Key Stations on the Route
This new train service is set to stop at several important stations along the way, providing easier access to different regions. These stops include Yelahanka, Gauribidanur, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Mantralayam Road, Raichuru, Yadgir, Wadi, Shahabad, Kalaburagi, Kamalapur, and Humnabad.

Implementation
The Railway board has directed zonal railways to implement this order at the earliest convenient date, ensuring that the new train service benefits passengers in a timely manner.
Coach Composition
The train will feature a total of 16 LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches, promising a comfortable and safe journey for passengers.
Historic Connection
This new Yesvantpur Bidar Express holds special significance as it is the first train to connect the stations on the Bidar-Kalaburagi railway line via Humnabad to the state capital, Bengaluru. This milestone comes after the inauguration of the Bidar-Kalaburagi New Railway Line by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 29, 2017,
The introduction of this weekly train service is expected to facilitate travel and trade between these regions and is a promising development for the people of Kalaburagi and Bidar, and all the stations along the route.
