Mahindra Logistics Expands Warehousing Footprint in Nashik, Maharashtra

The company inaugurated a 1 lakh sq. ft. extension to its existing multi-client warehouse and announced the groundbreaking of a new 3 lakh sq. ft. warehousing facility.

Mumbai, January 26, 2024: Mahindra Logistics Limited, a leading integrated logistics solutions provider in India, unveiled a significant expansion of its warehousing capabilities in Nashik, Maharashtra. The company inaugurated a 1 lakh sq. ft. extension to its existing multi-client warehouse and announced the groundbreaking of a new 3 lakh sq. ft. warehousing facility. This expansion brings Mahindra Logistics’ total warehousing footprint in Nashik to 5 lakh sq. ft., making it the largest warehousing space offered by any service provider in the region.

Key Highlights

  1. Facility Expansion: The 1 lakh sq. ft. extension and the upcoming 3 lakh sq. ft. facility aim to enhance Mahindra Logistics’ pan-India network of multi-client warehousing. The new facilities, scheduled to be operational by the end of Q3 2024, will cater to diverse industries, including Automotive, Engineering, and Consumer Durables.
  2. Strategic Location: Positioned strategically for easy access to key industrial and manufacturing clusters, as well as consumption markets in Nashik City, Aurangabad, Satpur, Silvasa, and others, the facilities are designed to facilitate efficient logistics operations.
  3. Technology-Enabled Solutions: Mahindra Logistics plans to incorporate technology-enabled and automated processes with end-to-end visibility in the new facilities. They will manage the distribution of auto components for production plants and offer inbound logistics and distribution solutions.
  4. Sustainability Standards: The facilities will adhere to Mahindra Logistics’ sustainability standards, incorporating renewable energy utilization, recycled construction materials, efficient liquid discharge management, waste management practices, and on-site solar power generation capabilities.
  5. Green Features: The warehouses will feature green cement flooring, a unique environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cement. On-site solar power generation will support energy needs, including solar charging for cargo vehicles and personal mobility.
  6. Investment and Employment: Mahindra Logistics, along with its partners, plans to invest Rs. 100 crores in establishing these facilities. The expansion is expected to generate employment opportunities for more than 300 individuals in the region.
