Kia Charge Reaches 800,000 Charging Points
Kia Charge has significantly expanded its charging network, now offering access to over 800,000 charging points across Europe. This marks a 10% increase from the second quarter of 2024. It represents a 39% rise compared to the same period in 2023.
With this increase, more than 100,000 Kia Charge subscribers can easily charge their vehicles. They can do this at both AC and DC charging points in 28 countries.
Simplifying Charging for Kia Customers
Kia Charge provides a one-stop solution for electric vehicle (EV) charging. Whether at home, work, or on the road, Kia customers can manage their charging needs through a single service.
The system includes route planning, charging point authentication, account management, and seamless payment processes. With the help of the Kia Charge app or card, customers have completed over 2.5 million charging sessions.
Enhancing EV Accessibility
Kia Europe’s Director of Customer Experience Strategy and Solutions, Martin Enthofer, highlighted the importance of increasing charging points. This need will grow as more EVs hit the road. “Kia continues to set the benchmark for making electric driving more accessible,” Enthofer said.
Kia Charge not only simplifies charging but also enhances the overall driving experience for electric vehicle users.
Partnership with IONITY and Future Plans
Kia’s collaboration with IONITY provides customers access to more than 4,200 ultra-fast charging stations. By 2030, the partnership aims to expand this network to over 17,000 high-power charging stations across Europe’s highways. This will ensure that long-distance EV travel is more convenient.
High Satisfaction Among Users
In 2024, 41% of Kia’s customers have registered with Kia Charge. The service boasts a satisfaction rate of around 75%.
With features like the Kia EV Route Planner, drivers can automatically detect and add charging points as waypoints. This makes charging stations easier to locate during trips.
Plug & Charge and Business Solutions
Kia’s Plug & Charge feature allows customers to charge their vehicles without needing a card or app for authentication. Just plug in and go.
Additionally, Kia Charge Business caters to fleet management. It provides businesses with a central solution for managing their electric vehicle fleets’ charging needs.
