Indian Railways to Construct Hirekotangal Mamadapur Railway Line

Indian Railways has initiated the process of constructing a new 39.5 km Hirekotangal Mamadapur Railway Line Under Ginigera (GIN) – Raichur (RC) New Line Project (165.57 Km) Including Signaling, Telecommunication & Electrical Works on EPC Mode.

The route length of the Railway Project comprises of the following sections

1. Hirekotangal-Manvi 12.20 kilometres 
2. Manvi-Neermanvi 6.45 kilometres 
3. Neermanvi-Kallur 16.75 kilometres
4. Kallur-Mamdapur 4.1 kilometers

Broad Scope of Work of Hirekotangal Mamadapur Railway Line

The project involves building a new railway line between Chainage 115/500 and Chainage 155/000. This includes electrical and telecommunication work between Hirekotangal and Mamadapur, covering a distance of 39.5 km. The project is part of the Ginigera-Raichur New Broad Gauge Line Project (165.57 km total).

The goal of the project is to create a single railway line with an “absolute block system” for trains to travel at a maximum speed of 160 km/h, initially supporting a load of 25 tones per axle. The project covers the construction of the track, bridges, and other necessary structures to accommodate this load.

The contract includes the design and construction of civil structures, buildings, electrical systems, signals, telecommunication, and track components for the new railway line. The project encompasses the construction of the following:

• 11 major bridges
• 104 minor bridges
• 60 road under bridges 
• 1 road over bridge

Railway Stations under Hirekotangal Mamadapur Railway Line

Manvi Crossing Railway Station @ Centreline Chainage 127/700

• Station Building with S&T accommodation: 1065 sq.m
• Platform:
  • High Level PF-1: 7 m width
  • High Level PF-2: 10.8 m width
  • Both platforms are 570 m in length
• Subway: 1 Nos with one ramp and step on each PF, width of 5m across 3 tracks

Nirmanvi Crossing Railway Station @ Centreline Chainage 134/150

• Station Building with S&T accommodation: 598 sq.m
• Platform: High Level PF-1 and PF-2, both 7 m width and 570 m in length
• Foot Over Bridge: 1 Nos with one ramp and step on each PF, width of 3m across 3 tracks

Kallur Crossing Railway Station @ Centreline Chainage 50/900

• Station Building with S&T accommodation: 598 Sq.m
• Platform: High Level PF-1 and PF-2, both 7 m width and 570 m in length
• Foot Over Bridge: 1 Nos with one ramp and step on each PF, width of 3m across 3 tracks
