The Railway Board has approved the extension of the 22831/32 Howrah – Sri Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam (SSPN) Weekly Express. The train will now run up to Yesvantpur (Bengaluru), bringing a new travel choice for passengers.
Passengers traveling between Howrah and Bengaluru will have the additional service between cities. The decision was formalised with an order (No. CC-272/2024) dated July 12, 2024.

New Stops and Timings
On the extended route, the train will now stop at Hindupur and Yelahanka. The new timings for the 22831 Howrah-Yesvantpur Express are as follows: departure from SSPN at 21:10 hours. The arrival at Yesvantpur is at 00:15 hours.
For the return journey, the 22832 Yesvantpur-Howrah Express will leave Yesvantpur at 05:00 hours. It will arrive at SSPN at 07:40 hours.

Days of Operation
The extended service will run from Howrah every Wednesday and from Yesvantpur every Friday. This extension aims to give more travel options for passengers between these major cities.
Coach composition to stay unchanged. The Railway Board has directed the concerned zones to implement the order at an early date.
