Railway Board Approves Extension
The Railway Board has approved the extension of the Mysuru Mayiladuthurai Express to Cuddalore Port. This extension aims to provide better connectivity and convenience for passengers traveling between these regions.
Inaugural Service
The inaugural service of the extended train will be flagged off remotely by Dr. L. Murugan, the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs. The ceremony will take place through video conferencing from Mettupalayam at 10:55 AM on July 19, 2024. The special inaugural train will run from Mayiladuthurai to Cuddalore.
Regular Services Start
Starting from July 19, 2024, the regular services of the extended Train Nos. 16231 / 16232 Cuddalore Port – Mysuru – Cuddalore Port will commence from both ends. This extension will enhance the travel experience for passengers, offering a more seamless journey between these destinations.
New Timings and Stoppages
The new schedule for the extended portion of the train includes updated timings and stoppages to accommodate the additional distance to Cuddalore Port. Passengers can check the detailed timetable on the official railway website or at local railway stations.
