A Major Milestone in India’s Higher Education
New Delhi, February 10, 2025 – Ashoka University has announced the establishment of the Havells School of Management & Leadership, backed by a ₹250 crore endowment from Havells India. This initiative aims to redefine management education in India, integrating it with Ashoka’s renowned liberal arts curriculum.
The new school aspires to prepare future business leaders with a multidisciplinary approach, blending critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills. It will introduce India’s first undergraduate programs in Applied Liberal Arts and Management, positioning itself among the top 10 global management programs.
The Havells School of Management & Leadership will collaborate with leading Indian and international institutions, facilitating student exchange programs, executive education, and industry partnerships. It aims to be on par with top global business schools like Wharton, Oxford’s Saïd, and MIT Sloan.

The grant continues Havells India’s legacy of supporting education, following the vision of Anil Rai Gupta, Managing Director of Havells India. “Education is transformative, and this initiative will shape future leaders,” he stated.
With this initiative, Ashoka University strengthens its role as a pioneer in interdisciplinary education, equipping students with the skills to drive India’s growth and global impact.
