New MOU aims to strengthen India’s tactical communications and defense capabilities.
Pune, 11th February 2025 – Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), a subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, and L3Harris Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on advanced defense and security technology in India.
The two-year agreement focuses on Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions. L3Harris will leverage KSSL’s local expertise to expand its tactical communications network in India, adding to its global network of over 1 million fielded radios.
Dave Johnson, Vice President, International, L3Harris, stated, “This MOU sets the stage for future partnerships and opportunities in India, enhancing national security.”

Neelesh Tungar, President & CEO of KSSL, emphasized that the collaboration will accelerate the delivery of sophisticated defense products, aligning with evolving military needs.
L3Harris has been operating in India for over 21 years, supporting both military and civil infrastructure, including telecommunications systems for Indian airports. The partnership also aims to establish global supply chain resilience.
