The East Coast Railway (ECR) has announced the operation of weekly special trains between Bhubaneswar and Yesvantpur. This aims to ease the travel of passengers. It will also manage the extra demand during the upcoming Deepawali and Puja festivals.
Train Schedule and Details
The weekly special train service will run for a total of nine trips. The service will start from October 5 and continue until December 2, 2024. Here are the key details:
- Train No. 02811: Bhubaneswar to Yesvantpur Weekly Express Special will leave Bhubaneswar every Saturday at 07:15 p.m., arriving at Yesvantpur at 12:15 a.m. on Monday.
- Train No. 02812: Yesvantpur to Bhubaneswar Weekly Express Special will depart Yesvantpur every Monday at 04:30 a.m. and will reach Bhubaneswar by 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
En Route Stops
The trains will halt at the following stations: Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, and Kottavalasa. They will also stop at Duvvada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Guntur. Additional stops include Narasaraopet, Markapur Road, Giddalur, Nandyal, Dhone, Dharmavaram, and Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthinilayam.
Coaches and Facilities
The special trains will consist of 18 coaches, including 16 AC Three Tier coaches and two luggage/brake vans.
