TKM Honored with Investment Certificate for Third Plant, Reinforces Commitment to Green Mobility and Job Creation
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reaffirmed its commitment to Karnataka’s sustainable growth and inclusive development at the Invest Karnataka 2025 Global Investors Meet (GIM). Held from February 11th to 14th at Bangalore Palace, the event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and investors under the theme ‘Reimagining Growth.’ TKM, a key player in Karnataka’s industrial landscape for over 25 years, was honored with an ‘Investment Certificate’ for its third manufacturing plant, which aims to boost production capacity by 1,00,000 units annually and create 2,000 new jobs.
The event saw active participation from TKM’s leadership, including Ms. Manasi N. Tata, Vice Chairperson, Mr. Swapnesh Maru, Deputy Managing Director, and Mr. Sudeep Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer. They highlighted TKM’s multi-pathway approach to carbon neutrality, clean mobility solutions, and sustainable manufacturing.
Key Highlights of TKM’s Participation:
- Sustainability Pavilion: Showcasing Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 and green manufacturing initiatives.
- Green Technology Zone: Featuring xEV technology, hybrid systems, and the latest hybrid electric models like the “All New Camry” and Corolla FFV-SHEV.
- Skill Development & CSR Initiatives: Highlighting TKM’s contributions to Skill India, Make in India, and community development programs.
Ms. Manasi N. Tata emphasized TKM’s dedication to innovation and inclusivity, stating, “Karnataka has been the foundation of our growth in India, and we are committed to giving back through industrial progress and clean mobility solutions.”

TKM’s investments in Karnataka now total ₹16,000 crores, with an additional ₹4,000 crores under execution. The company’s Bidadi plant operates on 100% renewable energy, recycles 96.4% of waste, and has planted 328,000 trees. Through initiatives like the Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI), TKM has empowered thousands of youth, including 600 female students, and aims to expand its skill development programs further.
As Karnataka emerges as a global hub for green mobility and manufacturing, TKM continues to lead the way in sustainable innovation, job creation, and community development.
