Rafael and L&T Collaborate to Bring TROPHY Active Protection System to Indian Defence Platforms
In a significant move to bolster India’s defence capabilities, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during Aero India 2025. The partnership aims to indigenously offer the TROPHY Active Protection System (APS), the world’s only proven and operational APS, tailored for Indian defence platforms.
The TROPHY APS is a cutting-edge battlefield technology designed to protect entire platforms and soldiers, featuring Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capabilities. This collaboration aligns with the Indian government’s vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India, Make for the World,’ focusing on fast-tracking the indigenisation of critical and emerging technologies.
