Adani Foundation and GEMS Education Join Forces to Revolutionize Affordable Education in India

In a landmark move to transform India’s education landscape, the Adani Foundation has partnered with GEMS Education, a global leader in private K-12 education, to establish 20 world-class schools across the country. With an initial commitment of INR 2,000 crore from the Adani family, the initiative aims to make quality education accessible to students from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

The first ‘Adani GEMS School of Excellence’ will open in Lucknow in the academic year 2025-26, followed by schools in metropolitan and Tier II to IV cities. Notably, 30% of the seats in these CBSE-affiliated schools will be reserved free of cost for underprivileged and deserving children.

A Vision for Inclusive Education

Chairman Gautam Adani emphasized the initiative’s alignment with his philosophy of “सेवा साधना है, सेवा प्रार्थना है और सेवा ही परमात्मा है” (Service is worship, service is prayer, and service is God). The partnership will also focus on creating research institutions to enhance teaching competencies through innovation and capability development.
