Introduction of Major Development Projects in Jharkhand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated projects totaling ₹80,000 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for new projects during his visit to Hazaribag, Jharkhand. These projects are primarily aimed at empowering and improving the lives of tribal communities across India. They focus particularly on villages in 550 districts.
Launch of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan
A key highlight of the event was the launch of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan. This initiative is designed to develop 63,000 tribal-dominated villages. This ambitious program, with a budget of ₹80,000 crore, aims to benefit more than 5 crore tribal people. The initiative will focus on improving social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihood opportunities for tribal communities.
New Eklavya Schools for Tribal Education
As part of the government’s efforts to improve education for tribal children, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS). He also laid the foundation for 25 more. These schools are intended to provide modern education facilities to students in remote tribal areas. The budget has been increased to ensure high standards of education and resources.
Infrastructure Projects Under PM-JANMAN
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated several key projects under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN). These projects include the construction of over 1,380 kilometers of roads, 120 Anganwadis, 250 multipurpose centers, and 10 school hostels. The total investment under PM-JANMAN is over ₹1,360 crore.

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of tribal development for the overall progress of the country. He highlighted how these projects will improve the quality of life for tribal populations. They will provide better access to education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
