NHLML to build Multi Modal Logistics Park in Bengaluru

NHLML’s MMLP to come up on 400 acres of land in Muddalinganahalli Bengaluru

National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) has proposed to develop a Multimodal Logistics Park, encompassing an area of 391.73 acres at Muddalinganahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka with an Inland container depot, a container yard, warehouses, cold storage, truck terminal, railway siding, Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) workshop, transit loading/unloading, administration, commercial and utility buildings, etc.

The total cost of the project is approximately Rs. 343.78 Crores. 

NHLML has zeroed in on this region as it has a good number of manufacturing industries spanning a wide spectrum of verticals like Paint, Cement, Textiles, Apparel, paper, agro-based/ food processing, Engineering, Electrical textiles, Automobiles, Pharma, FMCG, Industrial products, Ceramics, etc. 

Also, the site has better connectivity to road and rail and has no eco-sensitive zones within a 10 km periphery of the project site. Also, the proposed site does not require any forest clearance and will not require any physical displacement.

National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) (previously known as Cochin Port Road Company Limited), a 100% owned SPV of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) was incorporated on 19th January 2004 under the Companies Act, 1956 to develop, construct, establish, operate and maintain a project relating to the construction, operation and maintenance of the Cochin Port connectivity project under the “Build-Operate-Transfer” basis.

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has directed the formation of an umbrella SPV for the implementation of Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLPs) and connectivity thereof, Highways Connectivity to the ports, and other associated miscellaneous works through NHLML.
