MP Pralhad Joshi Reviews Hubballi Airport New Terminal Building Works

Expansion Plans to Boost Airport Facilities

On September 29, 2024, MP Pralhad Joshi conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing construction of the new terminal building at Hubballi Airport. The meeting, which included discussions with airport officials, focused on the expansion of the apron area, designated for aircraft parking.

Approval for this critical project has already been granted. The expansion aims to accommodate approximately ten Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

This new terminal, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10, is projected to cost Rs. 273 crore. The construction is progressing rapidly, promising to elevate Hubballi Airport’s international stature. Enhanced facilities are expected to significantly benefit the commercial city, further accelerating its development.

MP Joshi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also thanked Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and former Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia for their unwavering support of this landmark project.

Attendees at the review included legislators Shri Arvind Bellad and Shri Mahesh Tenginkai. The Mayor of Hubli-Dharwad, Shri Ramanna Badiger, was also present. Various officials from the airport administration attended as well.
