Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has entered a strategic partnership with Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar. Together, they have opened a new technology hub in Bengaluru, India.

This hub will focus on developing key software and electrical systems for Polestar’s vehicles. This includes infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and cloud-powered services.

Advancing Electric Vehicle Technology

The new hub will serve as the base for Polestar’s in-car infotainment and engineering developments. The collaboration will focus on enhancing Polestar’s user experience. It will also accelerate the development of electric vehicle (EV) software. This includes testing and validation.

Through the hub, Polestar will also benefit from Infosys’ expertise in cloud-native development, data engineering, and product management.

A Partnership to Drive Innovation

Maria Lexe, Head of Digital at Polestar, expressed confidence in the collaboration, highlighting Infosys’ successful track record in similar operations.

Sven Bauer, Head of Software at Polestar, added that this hub marks a new chapter for Polestar’s global development efforts. It contributes to the brand’s expanding vehicle portfolio and upcoming models.

Strengthening India’s Role in EV Development

Jasmeet Singh, Executive Vice President at Infosys, emphasized the importance of leveraging India’s skilled talent in software and automotive engineering. He believes the collaboration will enhance Polestar’s digital journey, setting new standards in the next generation of electric vehicles.
