A New Era in Commuting
India’s first Vande Metro train is being introduced between Ahmedabad and Bhuj. This new service aims to meet the increasing travel demands while offering passengers a modern and comfortable travel experience. The Vande Metro is expected to drive economic growth in the Kutch region, boosting job creation and local tourism.
Key Features of the Vande Metro
According to a press release by Shri Vineet Abhishek. He is the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway. The Vande Metro train is designed with 12 air-conditioned coaches. Each coach includes advanced features.
These features are centrally controlled automatic sliding doors, modular interiors, continuous LED lighting, and vacuum evacuation toilets. The train also boasts panoramic windows, CCTV surveillance, phone charging stations, and a fire detection system with aerosol-based extinguishing.
Train Schedule and Route
Train No. 94801/94802 Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande Metro will start its service in mid-September 2024. The Ahmedabad to Bhuj train (No. 94801) will depart daily at 17:30 hrs, except on Saturdays, reaching Bhuj by 23:10 hrs. The Bhuj to Ahmedabad train (No. 94802) will leave at 05:05 hrs daily, except on Sundays, arriving in Ahmedabad by 10:50 hrs.
Halt Stations and Travel Information
The Vande Metro will stop at key stations, including Sabarmati, Viramgam, and Gandhidham, among others. Passengers can check the detailed timetable and coach composition by visiting the official railway website.
