IndianOil has partnered with EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt. Ltd. to create a joint venture aimed at advancing biofuels in India. This 50:50 partnership will help the country adopt more sustainable energy sources. It focuses on turning organic waste into Compressed Biogas (CBG), a cleaner and renewable energy option.
Leaders from both companies, including IndianOil‘s Dr. Santanu Gupta and EverEnviro’s Mr. Mahesh Girdhar, signed the agreement in New Delhi. Their joint efforts will help reduce the country’s reliance on traditional fossil fuels. This will cut down greenhouse gas emissions. It will also boost local employment opportunities, especially in rural areas.
This move aligns with India’s long-term goal of reaching Net Zero by 2070. IndianOil aims to achieve operational Net Zero by 2046.
